So a new owner popped up on the various club pages and has leapt in with both feet and getting his cube ready for forthcoming club events so I thought I’d grab a few minutes to have a chat and see what brought him to our happy family!
So that elusive Buyers Guide….
For a while now we’ve been meaning to sort a buyers guide for the cube as folks often pop up on the forum or Facebook group and say they are going to look at a cube but what key items are specific to look for when viewing a cube to buy! Well off the back of the spot the differences article here we go with what to keep an eye out for when buying a gen 2.

Cubes rolling through the auctions in Japan!
Those little differences that catch you out!
The Gen 3 was the first cube sold outside Japan and whilst that is great for us all as it should have meant parts are easier to source (not always the case I know!) there are subtle differences to our little boxes depending where in the world you are so lets take a look at a few…
Struggling to open the back doors….
So the being unable to open the back door of a gen 3 and being an MOT fail reared it’s ugly head on the face book group recently and after I gave a quick write up David Joy ran with my words and got his car working again. As a bonus he took my words and added a whole heap of Photos and produced a write up bolstering my descriptions where he felt useful.
So lets see how it’s done…..
Toys in the engine bay?

OOPNÜRTHRING
This weekend was the first with decent weather in the UK for a while now and by the looks of the facebook group all our members made the most of it. I organised what I think is probably accepted now as the inaugural run of the Annual Oopnürthring run through some great scenery and brilliant driving roads so click to see how we got on…

Merchandising is a GO!
So, the club has had a few requests for merchandising and in the past limited runs of things like T-shirts had been arranged as well as stickers and mugs.
Trouble was that due to the limited numbers we ordered we were always limited with what could be done, how many colours could be available (usually only one!) and if a minimum order had to be made someone was left holding stock for a while that wasn’t ever guaranteed to sell.
As such we’ve decided to take a new route with it all and see if it works a bit better…
Japfest 2016
This weekend saw the the UK section of the cube owners club attend Japfest 2016, this year relocated to the Silverstone race circuit in Northamptonshire.

show seasons almost upon us ,I should have some more content to post on here then
Is it Black or Purple or something else entirely…
For the 3rd of our feature cars I’ve gone to a car that in the relatively short time the owner has had it has changed its look almost as much as Shane’s in our last feature!
This time we feature Scott Pickles and see what brought him to the cube and what he’s done with it since he got his hands on it!
